Sometime you just need to be lucky.

Last October (2023), we were redirected to Almeria because we could not land at Malaga airport due to the storm. We quickly made a hotel reservation in the city center (using booking.com) and got a nice surprise. After we checked into the Avenida hotel (I wrote a little review on this hotel as well), we ended up having dinner at the restaurant from chef Tony Garcia.

The Espacio Gastronomico is located in a cosmopolitan and welcoming place, where the highest quality raw materials from Almería and its province are given prominence, rescue traditional recipes and cook them with the experience and creativity of the chef Tony García. It is distributed in three spaces to enjoy the flavor in all its intensity: Miniature kitchen, for everyday life; Tasting Menu, to live a gastronomic experience firsthand.

Although we were in a bad mood starting our holiday unplanned in Almeria, the restaurant helped us to forget the pain. Absolute top!
